Accepted

An applicant informed me that the HBS site is down and has been down for several hours. Given that the Round 1 submission deadline is tomorrow, the timing of this glitch is pretty awful.

I also received the following email, which was sent to HBS's prospect list, but the applicant who contacted me had not received it. If he didn't receive it, some of you may also not have received it and I am posting it here:

"Due to a problem on the Harvard Business School campus the MBA website is not available. We are also unable to respond to any email messages that have been sent to us in the last few days.

"This does not affect your ability to complete or submit your online application as the application is not hosted from the HBS campus. You can access the application directly at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=hbs. This also does not impact your ability to send technical support requests using the "Tech Support" link located at the top of each page within the application.

"We will be sending another email message within the next few hours regarding a possible deadline extension."

I hope HBS extends the deadline and believe given the technical problems and this email that they will, but don't count on it until HBS announces it. Access the site from the above URL and upload your application.
